Title: “When the Fire Starts to Fade”

Family, as I reflect on yesterday’s message, my heart keeps going back to those words Jesus spoke to the church in Ephesus. They were still serving, still busy, still showing up but somewhere along the way, their love for Him had faded.

That hit me because it’s easy for any of us to get there. We can get so caught up doing church that we stop being with God. We can sing the songs, preach the sermons, organize the events and yet quietly lose the passion that once drove it all.

I don’t know about you, but I never want to become so familiar with God’s presence that I stop feeling the fire I had when I first met Him. The Lord doesn’t just want our hands, He wants our hearts. He doesn’t just want our work, He wants our worship.

So this week, let’s take a moment to remember, to repent, and to return. Go back to that place where you loved Him purely, served Him gladly, and trusted Him completely.

Reflection Question:

Have you been doing all the right things for God, but with a heart that’s grown distant? What will it take for you to fall in love with Him again?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for reminding me that You care more about my heart than my habits. Rekindle the fire in me. Help me love You deeply, serve You joyfully, and walk with You closely just like I did at first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
