Monday Manna w/ Pastor Batiste - “Put Wisdom to Work”
Today, as we celebrate Labor Day, we can reflect on yesterday’s sermon and remember that real wisdom does not just sit in our minds. Real wisdom goes to work in our lives.
James reminds us that wisdom is not proven by how much we know; it is revealed by the way we live. It shows up in our conduct, attitude, decisions, motives, and how we treat people.
That means this week, we have to ask ourselves what kind of wisdom is working in us. Is it making us more humble? More gentle? More peaceful? More merciful? Or is it producing pride, selfish ambition, confusion, and conflict?
If wisdom really comes from God, it ought to produce fruit that looks like God.
So as we rest from our labor today, let us also recommit ourselves to living by the wisdom that comes from above. Not just wisdom that sounds good, but wisdom that shows up good.
Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom that comes from You. Help me not only to know what is right, but to live what is right. Let my life produce fruit that reflects You. Amen.
